The Ghostrunner discovers a last Cybervoid server and acquires the ability to hack his opponents’ ubiquitous ‘Atma’ neural implants. The Ghostrunner realizes the Architect has the ability to manipulate individuals as a result of this skill, and remarks that the Architect is worse than Mara. Mara recognizes that the only reason the Ghostrunner would have preserved the sector from earlier rather than continuing his journey to confront her is because he wasn’t totally obedient, and she tries to persuade him that the Architect is nothing more than a mad machine.
