Computer History Museum × Meta’s Project Aria: Building an AI-Guided Tour for Everyone
We’ve partnered with the Computer History Museum and Lighthouse Guild to build an AI-guided museum tour experience using Meta’s Project Aria glasses. This research explores how AI-powered glasses can make museums more accessible and engaging for everyone.
The experience features:
Spatial Audio Navigation: Visitors follow a directional beacon sound or an AI agent’s voice to navigate through the tour.
Conversational AI Guide: An AI narrates the exhibits and answers follow-up questions using knowledge created by museum curators.
While this specific demo is in early research and not open to the public, you can see Project Aria glasses on display at the museum’s "Extended Reality: Visions of the Future" exhibition, open through March 28, 2027.
