Even as tourist interest in Lakshwadeep has exploded, the relatively lesser number of hotels and resorts in the islands has led to questions – whether it can rival Maldives. Interestingly, the Indian Hotels Company, India’s largest hotel chain is setting up two Taj-branded resorts on the islands of Suheli and Kadmat in Lakshadweep.
