WATCH: OPEN FIRE

A CCTV footage shows armed men firing at what appears to be the home of Negros Oriental Gov Roel Degamo who, at that time was reported to be in a meeting with his constituents on Saturday morning, March 4, 2023. Degamo and five others died in the shooting. The video has been turned over to the Philippine National Police (PNP). Three suspects have since been arrested.

The DSi browser uses Opera 9.50. There are no security mitigations whatsoever. Jumping to shellcode is back on the menu! Stack buffer overflows are viable. Exploiting use-after-frees, which are often common in browsers, is easier than ever. In fact, the DSi doesn’t even have an operating system, so there’s no kernel to exploit. Various system privileges are handled by the SCFG register. The browser has enough privileges to run most homebrew, but not enough to gain persistence across boots without another exploit. Browsing on the DS was a nightmare – and Nintendo charged for it. Crazy how times have changed.

Hi Community Members!

As you may already know, this year’s MoodleMoot Global will be held in Barcelona (Spain) on the 18-21 September 2023, starting with the pre-conference on the 18th, followed by the conference from the 19th September. We hope that you will be able to join us! Further details will be announced soon but, in the meantime, you can register your interest in attending.

While we hope to see you in Barcelona for the biggest Moodle community event of this year, we are already starting to make plans for MoodleMoot Global 2024. Following up on feedback received at previous events, we have decided to move the Global MoodleMoot to a new location and we have shortlisted a few options and would love to hear which one of them our community members would prefer as the location for our Global MoodleMoot and where you would like to travel to join us in 2024!
