Claude Desktop is FINALLY on Linux! In this video I install and test Anthropic’s first official Claude Desktop app for Linux, then put it head-to-head against the browser to find out if it’s actually worth switching to.
Install Claude on Linux:
https://code.claude.com/docs/en/desktop-linux
For years, desktop Linux got ignored in the whole AI race. No ChatGPT app, no Gemini app, no Copilot app. Now Anthropic has shipped a real, native Claude Desktop client for Ubuntu and Debian, installable through an official signed APT repository (with a .deb download too). I walk through the full install, break down the three built-in tools (Chat, Code and Cowork), and reveal the surprising catch: Cowork can boot an entire QEMU/KVM virtual machine right on your own machine.
I also cover what’s missing at launch (no Computer Use, no voice dictation, and no official Fedora, RHEL or Arch support yet) and answer the big question: should you run Claude in the browser, in the terminal, or with this brand new desktop app?
⏱️ What we cover:
– Claude Desktop for Linux is officially here (beta)
– How to install it: APT repo and .deb methods
– Chat, Code and Cowork explained
– The hidden QEMU/KVM virtual machine catch
– What’s missing in the beta
– Desktop vs Browser vs CLI: which should you use?
🔑 Keywords: claude desktop linux, claude ai on linux, claude desktop app, anthropic claude linux, claude for ubuntu, claude on debian, claude code, claude cowork, install claude on linux, ai app for linux, best ai for linux, linux ai tools 2026, claude vs browser, first ai app for linux

Inkling by Thinking Machines is here, a 1 TRILLION parameter open model that natively understands images, text, AND audio, with a 1M token context window. In this video, we break down the architecture, show you how to run it, and share our vibe-eval results.
Now on Hugging Face 🤗 https://huggingface.co/thinkingmachines/Inkling
⚡ TL;DR
• 975B total / 41B active params (MoE, 256 experts)
• Native image, text & audio input — one model, no separate encoders
• 1M context window, trained on 45T tokens
• BF16 + calibrated NVFP4 checkpoints, MTP layers for speculative decoding
• Day-0 support: transformers, SGLang, vLLM, llama.cpp
⏱️ CHAPTERS
00:00 Intro — what is Inkling?
00:00 Architecture deep dive (relative attention, hybrid attention, SConv)

💡 KEY TAKEAWAYS
• Needs ~2TB VRAM in BF16 (600GB in NVFP4) — but 1-bit GGUFs retain ~74% top-1 accuracy at 86% smaller
• Reasoning effort is tunable from "none" to "max"; medium (0.7) is the sweet spot
• The model transcribes/OCRs inputs first, then reasons — prompt accordingly
• Great for multimodal reasoning apps, document processing, and fine-tuning

Multi-agent systems promise autonomous workflows, specialized agents, and major productivity gains—but production reality is more complicated.
In this ODSC AI East 2026 session, Sinan Ozdemir, Founder of Crucible and AI & LLM Advisor at Tola Capital, explores the case for and against harnessing multi-agent systems. Drawing on enterprise deployments, his book Building Agentic AI, and real-world lessons from agent failures, Sinan breaks down why autonomy alone is not enough.
The session examines how teams can balance agent freedom with architectural constraints, evaluation loops, cost controls, human-in-the-loop gates, and progressive autonomy. Watch to learn how to decide how much “harness” your agents need and how to build multi-agent systems that deliver value without becoming systems you have to babysit.
