Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie’s hopes to end the country’s nine-year wait for a mixed doubles finalist in the Malaysia Open were dashed when they bowed out in the semi-finals on Saturday (Jan 11).

The world No. 6 went down 21-17, 12-21, 21-16 to Thailand’s newly-paired world No. 57 Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Supissara Paewsampran.
