New Wuling Starlight 2024

Posted on October 17, 2023 by Michael G
Wuling’s First Sedan Released, First Look, New Wuling Starlight 2024

Wuling Starlight adopts the latest Star Wing aesthetic design concept. The new car has six body colors for consumers to choose from: Star White, Star Purple, Star Fantasy Green, Hoshino Grey, Star Curtain Black and Star Light Brown.

It is also worth noting that the plug-in hybrid version and the pure electric version of Wuling Starlight use different front face shapes. Among them, the plug-in hybrid version uses crossover-type daytime running lights and is equipped with a different frameless grille; The pure electric version uses a simpler, fully enclosed front fascia shape and the daytime running lights do not have a crossover connection. .

The side of Wuling Starlight’s body adopts an extra-long fastback design, which looks quite dynamic with its downward sloping front and smooth waist line. In addition to being sporty, the new car also features brand new chrome window frame trim strips on the windows on both sides. This is also a common design method used by many high-end models to enhance the sense of luxury.

The rear of Wuling Starlight uses thick taillights, and the star-shaped taillights make the new car well recognized. The lower part of the rear of the Wuling Starlight uses a black trim panel, which gives the entire rear a stronger, flat feel.

In terms of body specifications, the length, width and height of Wuling Starlight are 4835 mm, 1860 mm and 1515 mm respectively, and the wheelbase has reached 2800 mm, which has already entered the threshold of a mid-size sedan.

As for the interior, Wuling Motors has not officially announced the interior and configuration information of Wuling Starlight. It can only be seen from the windshield that it will use a large-sized floating central control screen.

Both the pure electric version and the plug-in hybrid version of the Wuling Starlight are equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 100kW. Compared to the fully electric version, the plug-in hybrid version also features an additional 1.5 L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 75 kW.

Although the 100kW drive motor cannot bring very powerful performance to Wuling Starlight, it can already meet daily transportation needs. Among these, the pure electric version can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h, while the plug-in hybrid version can reach a maximum speed of 145 km/h, which can basically cover the speed limit range of the roads in my country.

In terms of battery life, the Wuling Starlight plug-in hybrid and pure electric models each offer two pure electric battery life versions. Among them, the pure electric cruising range of the plug-in hybrid model is 50 km and 105 km, respectively, and the pure electric cruising range is 410 km and 510 km, respectively.

Update to Developers: Chromium Issue Tracker migration

Posted on October 17, 2023 by Michael G

Chromium is moving to a different issue tracker to provide a well-supported user experience for the long term. The Google team is targeting January 2024 for migration—this post explains the details.

What’s happening

We will migrate all Chromium issues, including issue history and stars, from Monorail to a different tool: Chromium Issue Tracker, powered by the Google Issue Tracker. This tooling change will provide a feature-rich and well-supported issue tracker for Chromium’s ecosystem. Chromium will join other open source projects (Git, Gerrit) on this tooling. Existing transparency levels to bugs will be maintained.

Timing

We are targeting January 2024 for Chromium’s migration, and will share milestones and timing updates throughout the coming months.

Migration Readiness

In due course, we will share additional resources, including a walkthrough of the new issue tracker, highlighting key features.

Post-Migration

While there will be differences, we are working to make the migration straightforward. Once the migration completes, existing Monorail issue links will redirect to the migrated issues in the new issue tracker.

Help & Feedback

You can reach out at any time to issue-tracker-support@chromium.org with questions or concerns.
