I’m a Pakistani teenager, age 18. I have goals in mind. One day, I hope to open my own company overseas. I drive too. I used to get home at nine o’clock a year ago. It wasn’t until six months ago that I learned how to cook. I have no desire to tie the knot anytime soon. I really think that gender stereotypes should be destroyed. I reject the idea of male dominance. Now that you have a general understanding of my perspective, allow me to share with you that I didn’t immediately see my own value. I was not raised with the notion that a woman should be self-sufficient and independent.
