Ethan Vernon, la 1ère étape et 1er leader au Tour du Rwanda 2023 ! La 15e édition du Tour du Rwanda est lancée ! La première étape se tenait ce dimanche avec 115,6 km au programme, depuis la capitale du Rwanda Kigali jusqu’au circuit final autour de Rwamagana à parcourir six fois. Pas de quoi empêcher un sprint final, dans lequel Ethan Vernon (Soudal-Quick Step Devo Team) a largement dominé ses adversaires pour récompenser le gros travail de sa formation, en tête de peloton toute la journée. Derrière le Britannique, déjà vainqueur du Trofeo Palma fin janvier, on retrouve le Français Emilien Jeannière (TotalEnergies) et l’Erythréen Enok Mulubrhan (Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè). Vernon s’empare logiquement du premier maillot de leader.
