4 teams of student developers. 4 universities. 4 hours. One mission: help stop scams in Kenya.
Scams affect millions of people every year, from fake job opportunities and phishing attacks to online fraud and mobile money scams. So we decided to put Kenya’s student developers to the test.
In this episode of Vibe Coding Show, teams from Kenyatta University (KU), University of Nairobi (UON), Machakos University (MKSU), and JKUAT were given just 4 hours to design and build a tech solution that could help Kenyans avoid, detect, or stop scams.
No one knew what the other teams were building.
No extra time.
No second chances.
Just 4 hours to turn an idea into a working prototype and pitch it to the judges.
You’ll see the brainstorming, the coding, the pressure, the bugs, the pivots, and the final presentations as these student developers compete to prove which university can build the best solution.
Who came up with the smartest idea?
Who built the best prototype?
And which team deserved to win?
Watch until the end and tell us in the comments which solution you would actually use.

Fields Medal recipient Terence Tao explains how AI is changing the way mathematicians work, making it easier to experiment, explore new ideas, and collaborate on difficult problems.
The video also features OpenAI Chief Research Officer Mark Chen, who discusses OpenAI’s broader goal of building tools that help scientists and researchers achieve breakthroughs at scale.
Together, they explore how AI can expand what’s possible in mathematics and science while preserving the creativity, curiosity, and discovery that drive human progress.
Terence Tao was interviewed at an OpenAI Forum event held in partnership with IPAM (the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics) in March 2026.

The gap between current and ideal security is widening. Ignoring minor issues can lead to disaster when major vulnerabilities hit. Proactive patching isn’t just good practice; it’s essential. #CyberSecurity #PatchManagement #Vulnerability #ITSecurity #NetworkSecurity
