Get My Course Linux Mastery Express (The FASTEST WAY to learn Linux):
https://linuxtex.thinkific.com

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is here — and honestly, this is the most PREMIUM Ubuntu has ever looked and felt. In this video, I take you through everything new in Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, from GNOME 50 and the buttery-smooth desktop, to 5 brand new default apps, the refreshed Yaru theme, the move to a Wayland-only session, and the turbocharged engine running on Linux kernel 7.0. If you’re coming from Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, you’re getting years of polish landing on your desktop all at once — and you can feel it.

We break down why Ubuntu 26.04 LTS finally feels like a modern, complete desktop OS: the new apps (Showtime, Resources, Ptyxis, Papers and Loupe), the GNOME 50 smoothness story with triple buffering and a snappier Files app, the grown-up Yaru icons and theme, and the big Wayland switch that unlocks fractional scaling, VRR, and a foundation for HDR. We also dig into the hardware and performance side — AMD power profiles, NTSYNC for gaming, and support for the latest chips.

If you’ve been waiting for the Ubuntu glow-up, this is it. Ubuntu grew up.

⏱️ What we cover:

– Ubuntu 26.04 LTS first look and why it feels premium
– 5 new default apps: Showtime, Resources, Ptyxis, Papers, Loupe
– GNOME 50 — triple buffering, smoother animations, faster Files
– The refreshed Yaru theme, icons and Ubuntu Dock
– Wayland-only session, fractional scaling, VRR and HDR foundation
– Linux kernel 7.0, AMD power profiles, NTSYNC gaming, new hardware support
– My personal thoughts — is Ubuntu 26.04 LTS the smoothest Linux desktop yet?

🚀 Level up your Linux skills with my course, Linux Mastery Express — go from zero to hero in the shortest time possible.

Hack ISP Routers: Reverse Engineering & Secret Upgrades, Dheeraj Reddy Jonnalagadda, #FOSSASIA 2026

ISP-provided routers often control our entire digital lives, yet many are insecure black boxes running outdated firmware. In this talk, learn how to take control of a locked-down consumer router, uncover hidden security flaws, and repurpose it into a powerful network defense tool.

This session covers two practical hacks: first, the forensic process of analyzing router firmware, exploring binary structures, and discovering hardcoded backdoor credentials to gain root access. Second, transforming the compromised router into a network-wide ad blocker and security device.

Perfect for cybersecurity enthusiasts, IoT hackers, and privacy-conscious users, this talk offers a practical roadmap for reverse engineering routers and understanding the hidden risks inside everyday network appliances.
